GREAT QUOTES

"Every step you take is treading on chords that will vibrate into all
eternity. Every move you make touches keys whose sound will re-echo
all over the hills and dales of heaven - and through all the dark
caverns and vaults of hell. With every movement of your lives, you are
exerting a tremendous influence that will tell on the immortal
interests of souls all around you."
- Charles Finney

"Lord...bend me lower, Lord, down at Jesus' feet. Holy Spirit, bend me
until your work's complete." - Ron Owens

"The essence of idolatry is the entertainment of thoughts about God
that are unworthy of Him. The heaviest obligation lying upon the
Christian Church today is to purify and elevate her concept of God
until it is once more worthy of Him."
-A.W. Tozer

"Get a single, solitary thought in your mind, and that thought - the
precious love of Jesus. Go and live it out, and come what may, you
will be respected though abused. They may say you are an enthusiast, a
fanatic, a fool, but those names from the world are titles of praise
and glory. The world does not take the trouble to nickname a man
unless he is worth it. It will not give you any censure unless it
trembles at you."
- Charles Spurgeon

“It was the greatest honor God did to man that he made man in the
image of God; but it is the greatest dishonor man has done to God that
he has made God in the image of man.” - Matthew Henry

"Do you wish to rise? Begin by descending. You plan a tower that will
pierce the clouds? Lay first the foundation of humility."
-Augustine.

"The Lord uses his flail of tribulation to separate the chaff from the
wheat." - John Bunyan

"If Christ justifies you, he will sanctify you."
- Robert Murray McCheyne

"Men will allow God to be everywhere except on his Throne"
-Charles Spurgeon

"Light means nothing to a blind man." - A.W. Tozer

"Some preachers ought to put more fire into their sermons or more
sermons into the fire." - Vance Havner

"The Bible definitely is infallible, how else could it survive so many
years of bad preaching?" - Leonard Ravenhill

 HEALING THE SICK

  • First of all, don’t ask God if it’s His will to heal someone… If you don’t know His will, you can’t pray in faith. One of His names is Jehovah-Rophe, the God who heals you.

It’s His name, it’s His nature, it’s His will.  Jesus healed everybody (Acts 10:38)!  We get to partner with Him and re-present His nature and will

  • Command the sickness or pain to leave. You tell it to happen. You are a king. You decree. (“Child, arise” Luke 8:54; “Peace! Be still” Mark 4:39; “Stretch out your hand” Luke 6:10; ”May no one ever eat fruit from you again” Mark 11:14; ”Be opened!” Mark 7:34)

  • Ask the person how they are feeling after you tell the sickness or pain to leave.  I usually ask, “On a scale from 1-10, if 10 is 100% better, how are you feeling now?

  • Always thank God for what He has begun to do, even if the person is only feeling a little better. (Matt 14:19) Always bring to focus what IS happening, rather than what hasn’t happened yet. (Luke 7:22)
    • If the person isn’t completely better, lay hands/pray again (Mark 8:25) and ask again how the person is feeling.

Extra Pointers

  • Never blame the person for not having enough faith to be healed if nothing happens.  Lazarus didn’t have any faith to be healed—Jesus had enough faith for Him, so should we.  Jesus always acknowledged faith in the other person but it was NEVER necessary.

Jesus knew who He was–a man who was not under the curse of sin (just like us because of His blood) who was in right relationship with the Father (just like us because of Jesus).  And after the cross, the enemy is now a defeated foe (Heb 2:14, Col 1:13), you have all authority!

  • Get tenacious and get fed up with the works of the devil.  Understand that all sickness, torment, pain, etc. is from the devil and is illegal when you encounter it because of Christ in you.  John 10:10 says that the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy, and that Jesus came to give abundant life.  We are the dispensers of that abundant life if we will choose to be!

  • God = good.  Devil = bad.  Let’s not get confused here. :)

  • Never tell someone that God might be trying to teach them a lesson in their suffering.  Jesus NEVER did this.

Think about it like this:  If you had a child, would you throw them onto an interstate highway to teach them not to play in traffic?  Of course not.  So why would a good God give someone cancer to teach them to be humble?  Make sense now?  There is no cancer or sickness or pain or torment or suffering in heaven and mission is “as it is in Heaven.”

  • HAVE FUN!  God is good and loves when His children believe His Word!  We need to stop reading what we believe in the Bible and start believing what we read!  ”Believers will lay hands on the sick and they…SHALL recover!”  It’s His reputation on the line…not yours.  So start laying hands on people and knocking the devil out of ‘em!

_____________________________________________________________________ We highly, highly recommend this teaching series for anyone who has even a slight interest in the ministry of healing or questions about why more people aren’t healed, etc.  It gives a lot of practical concepts on how to see the sick set free from their infirmities on a consistent basis.

It is very militant, very aggressive, and very authoritative…so do not be surprised to find yourself questioning a lot of the doctrines that you probably grew up with and have believed most of your Christian life.

Our prayer is that all would listen to Curry’s teachings with an open heart and an open mind to receive the revelations of truth that resound through these messages, and to ACT on the Word of God after recognizing that the only thing stopping the healing God has for all mankind is the people He has commissioned to release it.

God. is. with. You.

It frustrates me when people reduce “healing the sick” to a theological argument.

Think about this.

It’s not even supposed to be a “stance” of scripture. Jesus didn’t even try to prove that healing was for His day.

He didn’t try to validate it through Scripture. He just did it.

It wasn’t an argumentHe just did it.

It wasn’t a formulaIt was just a byproduct of who He was with — His Father (John 5:19-20)

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” – Acts 10:38

Jesus never mentioned “this is for the elite”. He never said, “for pastors and people with ministries only”. He did it because God was with Him.

Doesn’t that make perfect sense?

God, Creator of the universe, spoke worlds into existence…

Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil because the Creator was with Him.

Hmm…

Ok.

God is with US. We have become the temple in which God Himself dwells. God is with us (1 John 4:4John 14:16Joshua 1:5). We have the same spirit that Christ had.

Are you connecting the dots?

God was with Jesus, therefore, Jesus healed all those oppressed by the devil.

God is with _____, therefore, _____ can heal all those oppressed by the devil.

Must I fill in the blanks for you?

-

See, it’s not about, “let’s examine the theological soundness of this statement”

It’s about healing those who are oppressed by the devil.

(rephrase)

It’s about freeing people from the devil.

Do you realize that the sickness that Jesus healed are the same sicknesses that are still here today? Deafness. Blindness. Muteness. Paralysis. Epilepsy. Leprosy. Fever. Sickness of the blood. Death.

All those sicknesses, Jesus healed.
All those sicknesses are from the devil.

All those sicknesses are still here today.
All those sicknesses are still from the devil.

Do you see where I’m going?

Healing was a tool that Jesus used out of the overflow of compassion that He had for people.

He healed people because He wanted to free them from the devil. Because when you get someone free from the devil, that’s actually good news.

Healing isn’t about a doctrine. It’s a jail-break from the prison of physical bondage (Luke 4:18). It’s about serving people who are in need (1 John 3:18).

Think about this: When Jesus encountered someone sick, He could say to them:

“You don’t have to be blind anymore.”
“You don’t have to be deaf anymore.”
“You don’t have to die of this sickness.”
“You don’t have to suffer from epilepsy anymore.”
“I can set you free from the devil. Right now.”

What a privilege! What a joy to get to be able to say that! How was He able? Because God was with Him.

Think about this: When a Christian encounters someone suffering, we ought to be able to say:

“You don’t have to have chronic depression anymore”
“20 years of scoliosis? No problem.”
“Doctors said you have stage 4 cancer? Would you want that report reversed?”
“You were born deaf? Would you like to be able to hear?”
“Your husband has advanced Parkinson’s? Do you want your husband back?”
“You’ve had migraines for 10 years? It can stop today.”

Why?

Because He is with us.

What an honor to be able to represent King of Kings.

What an privilege we can bring hope to people who have lost it.

To not run after this is like shirking at a $10,000 bill.
Yes, it seems like only rich, famous, renown people have been able to use this $10,000 dollar bill.
Yes, people have abused their use of the $10,000 bill.
Yes, people have idolized the $10,000 bill.
Yes, people have boasted in their $10,000 bill instead of using it.
Yes, the devil has created counterfeits of the $10,000 bill.

Every believer has been given the $10,000 bill.
But God gave it to us with the intent that we would freely give to others, because it has been freely given to us (Luke 12:32Luke 17:21Matt 10:8Acts 3:6).

It was given to us as a tool to better serve the people around us. It was a tool to equip us in a supernatural way to express love for people, not something to wave around and idolize.

Do you get it?

You get to demonstrate love for people in a supernatural way because God. is. with. you.
